How I almost died #2

About four years ago my friends and I were really into riding four wheelers in my back yard. When this story happened, the woods were flooded, it was freezing out and it was in the middle of the night so it was pitch black and the only source of light we had was from the headlights. So the three of us were running the four wheelers through massive puddles in the woods going deeper uncharted territory. We got to a point where we didn't recognize where we where so we decided to head back. However I had to be cool and run through one last puddle before we do. So I hit the throttle, and start to take off towards the biggest puddle that you could imagine. However there was a small problem. In pitch blackness puddles and look strikingly similar to rivers. I hit the water and slowed to a stop. Im stuck in it the middle of a river on top of the four wheeler. I was staying dry but then it started to roll over. I did a cartoon like log roll run to stay on top put that made the situation worse causing me to fall into the water. Luckily it was shallow enough for me to stand but I was still soaked to my bones in freezing water and the four wheeler was almost sunken. My friends came over to make sure that I was ok and I was other than the fear of the fact that I just sank my dad's four wheeler. I had to get it out fast before it was  ruined so I got back into the water and stated to pull the it out. Once I got it close enough my friends started to help. we got it out but it wouldn't start. the water and freezing temperature was getting to me fast so I had to implement all of my survival knowledge that I had acquired (from watching tv). I got out of the wet clothes down to my underwear. I tried to stay warm from exercising but that wasn't doing much so we tied my four wheeler to another one and we tried to make our way back to the house. We knew the general direction but not where specifically to go but we took off. By the time we got home I was a shade blue and absolutely freezing. I had to warm up with a Hot shower but i could not touch the water because it burnt too much to touch. I eventually got warmed up but apparently I got as close as you can to getting hypothermia without getting it.
